Cross-river tram line opens after four years of works
The first passenger service left the east bank depot at 5.42am on Monday. The seven-kilometre line links the two halves of the city without a change for the first time.

Central library reopens with its reading room restored
After a two-year restoration the central library opened its doors again on Thursday. The glass-roofed reading room, closed since a leak in the 1990s, is back in use.
Volunteers clear four tonnes of waste from the old harbour shore
More than 300 people joined Saturday's clean-up of the old harbour basin and its shore. Divers brought up bicycles, tyres and a shopping trolley; the harbour office will now repeat the event twice a year.
